Dr. Ted D’Amico, DC
My name is Ted D’Amico and I have been a practicing chiropractor since 1980. I was 8 years old when I had my first chiropractic adjustment. My parents always took me to the chiropractor first before the MD. From this, my love for chiropractic grew, especially the natural approach to health without drugs or surgery.
I have developed a family style practice for the past 41 years. One of my biggest compliments is seeing my clients grow up with the belief in chiropractic and having them refer generations of family members to me.
I have 20 chiropractors in my family, including my wife, Dr. Gail, 2 brothers, my son, Jared, his partner, Bridget, and a host of in-laws. As you can see for us, chiropractic is a way of life.
Dr. Gail Gdanski, DC
Hi, my name is Gail Gdanski and I have been in practice for 40 years, graduating in 1981.
We have 20 chiropractors in my family, starting with my dad. My son, Jared, just graduated from chiropractic college and my daughter, Brittani, is a veterinarian.
Chiropractic is my passion and I am lucky because I get to have fun while helping people. My husband Ted and I are joining to become the dynamic duo of Chestermere Family Chiropractic. We are also pleased to announce that my son Dr. Jared and his partner Dr. Bridget will be joining us as of July 2021
Dr. Wanda Duon
My interest in health and sciences started young. Growing up, I was introduced to different modalities of Chinese medicine whenever illness came on. The use of cupping, gua-sha (scraping) and Chinese herbs were very prominent to encourage healing. My interest in the field of holistic, alternative medicine continued while I got introduced to chiropractic and naturopathic medicine in grade school. With an interest in biology and physiology, I completed my bachelor’s degree in biological sciences through the University of Calgary and continued to complete a diploma in natural nutrition before embarking into the field of traditional Chinese medicine and acupuncture at the Alberta College of Acupuncture and Traditional Chinese Medicine.
As a competitive dragon boat paddler, I have developed a special interest in sports therapy and know the importance of prevention, recovery and injury rehabilitation. Although trained to address many conditions, I have experience with many pain management cases; I enjoy working with individuals, prenatal and postnatal, including induction, and other gynecological issues. Anxiety, stress, headaches, immune support and digestive issues are additional areas I enjoy working quite a bit with.
I value my patients and their health, and bring into my practice different modalities to provide the best care I can. This might include acupuncture, cupping, gua-sha (scraping), moxibustion, auricular therapy, diet therapy and Chinese herbal formulas to promote and encourage healing and health.
I have been a licensed massage therapist for almost 20 years. In 2016, I graduated from The National Institute of Wellness and Esthetics in Calgary with my 2200-hour Massage Therapy certification. In 1999, I graduated from the Toronto School of Natural Health. I have also taken many courses from the Calgary College of Holistic Health from 1997 through to 2014.
I have developed a blend of techniques that make my massage unique to each client and their specific needs. I excel in finding and relieving those painful areas helping you relax and relieve stress.
I am experienced in many forms of traditional massage including deep tissue, therapeutic, trigger point, myofascial stretching release, relaxation, cupping, and hot stone. In my spare time I enjoy cooking and walking my dog Spots.
Hi, my name is Nick. I’m a Registered Massage Therapist with an Advanced Massage Therapy Diploma with 2200 hours from The Professional Institute of Massage Therapy. Before arriving to Canada from Ukraine in 2011, I worked as an Orthopaedic Surgeon for 14 years after obtaining my medical degree in 1994 and finishing my residency in 1997.
I’m more focused on the therapeutic approach to massage. My background and previous experience helps in understanding how all systems of the body work together and allows me to use a variety of massage techniques depending on the patient's issue. I believe in collaboration between therapist and patient to achieve better and faster recovery, so don’t be surprised if I give you “homework”stretching and strengthening exercises specific to your condition.
I have worked in this office since September, 2008. I have seen the many ways that chiropractic can help people. I am so happy to be a part of this team and enjoy seeing the patients realize the wonderful, healing benefits of chiropractic care and massage therapy.
I am here to help with any of your questions, the organization of appointment schedules, insurance/billing needs, and making you feel comfortable in our office.
Working the front desk gives me the opportunity to meet, greet and interact with so many great people as they come and go. I have a front row seat to watch the progress they make in this office. I have seen these changes in myself, my family, and patients of all ages, from newborn to elderly.
I started at Chestermere Family Chiropractic in November 2020 and quickly became a part of the family. I have always been fascinated by how the body moves and works to help us live a functional, purposeful, and happy life! The holistic approach to wellness taken here at Chestermere Family Chiropractic really aligns with my belief.
The best part of working here is seeing the amazing positive changes that an adjustment or massage can have on a person’s life. I enjoy being an integral part of the team and I look forward to greeting every patient with a smile and following them on their journey.
My favorite quote “The doctor of the future will give no medication, but will interest his patients in the care of the human frame, diet and in the cause and prevention of disease.” - Thomas Edison.
