Memorial Square Chiropractic and Massage Clinic has been serving patients for 35 years. Our experienced staff is very professional and looks to maintain a high ethical standard, friendly service and complete patient privacy. Chiropractic is the science, art and philosophy that concerns itself with the restoration of good health by restoring and maintaining a properly functioning nervous system, without the use of drugs or surgery.
Our mission is to serve each person we meet with the highest quality and integrity so that they realize their maximum health potential. We do this by removing the subluxations which cause nerve interference. Additionally, we go to extraordinary measures to educate our patients about true health so that they, in turn, can educate others.
Ted D’Amico, Chiropractor
My name is Ted D’Amico and I have been a practicing chiropractor since 1980. I was 8 years old when I had my first chiropractic adjustment. My parents always took me to the chiropractor first before the MD. From this, my love for chiropractic grew, especially for the natural approach to health without drugs or surgery.
I have developed a family style practice in this same location for 36 years. One of my biggest compliments is seeing my patients grow up with the belief in chiropractic and having them refer to me generations of family members.
I have 18 chiropractors in my family, including my wife, 2 brothers and a host of in-laws and now I’m proud to say my son Jared who will be attending Chiropractic school in New Zealand. As you can see Chiropractic, for us, is a way of life.
I have two children: my daughter Brittani who is in her second year of Veterinary Medicine and Jared who will start his first year of Chiropractic school in January 2017.
Dr. Stephen Zwart, Chiropractor
Born and raised in Calgary, I am Dr. Stephen Zwart practicing as a chiropractor since 2011. It all started when I was 8 years old, when my beneficial experience with chiropractic led me to pursue a career in chiropractic. I studied kinesiology at the University of Calgary before being accepted to the Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College, where I completed my Doctorate of Chiropractic in 2011.
I employ a variety of techniques to help my patients achieve wellness, including hands-on adjustments, soft tissue techniques, acupuncture, exercise, and health and fitness advice. I invite you to come and see how chiropractic treatment can help you achieve your health and wellness goals.
My personal interests are hiking, climbing, snowboarding, volleyball, squash, running, exercise, travelling, and reading.
Patience Abaleke, RMT
I graduated from Mount Royal University with a 2200 hour Massage Therapy diploma. My skills involve pre/post-natal, deep tissue, therapeutic, myofacial release, lymphatic drainage, trigger point therapy, relaxation and Swedish massage.
It is my belief that massage therapy treatment can help enhance families' lives in Calgary from overall sense of emotional and physical wellbeing. It can also be an important part of any health maintenance plan by eliminating muscle tension and chronic pain.
During my free time, I love spending time with my family and friends.
Tammy Doucette, Clinic Administrator
It is my pleasure to be a Clinic administrator at Memorial Square Chiropractic and Massage Therapy which allows me to share with others what I have learned through my journey to balancing my health, wellness, and family care.
I have been faithfully using Chiropractic care, Massage therapy as well as Acupuncture as a regular part of my health care plan for over 25 years. I am excited to share the many benefits I have experienced while managing conditions for TMJ, sport rehabilitation as well as treatment for severe degenerative joints and discs.
Expanding on my knowledge in Chiropractic care has allowed me to incorporate my belief in natural therapy alternatives, which have increase my understanding of how important regular maintenance care, proper nutrition and regular exercise are, as each have their own crucial role. Recognizing this has proven to make an immense difference in the overall health and wellness for myself as well as my family and friends.
As a married mother of two active teenage girls, I continuously advocate to my peers, family, and friends for Chiropractic care to be a vital part of their health care plan, and I look forward to watching my family as well as yours enjoy the benefits for many generations to come!
Mae Tolentino, Medical Office Assistant
I am a certified Medical Office Assistant graduated in 2014, and I have experience in administrative and chiropractic care. My addition to the Memorial Square Chiropractic team has been incredible, and I feel honoured to be able to enhance the value to the patient experience. I am constantly learning everyday here.
Outside of work I do enjoy staying active and maintaining a healthy lifestyle by going to the gym, attending boot camp classes, and enjoying the outdoors with friends and family. I strongly believe in the value and importance of balancing a healthy lifestyle and getting the proper care for your body. To experience on a daily basis the people walking into the clinic doors feeling broken, then walking out feeling like a million bucks puts the biggest smile on my face knowing that I am working with one of the best practitioners in the city! I am proud to be a part of the team that shares their passion to extend knowledge on health while maintaining a healthy environment.
